Use whatever works
i've been using blender as if it was after effects for a while now. montages, graphics, remakes, what have you. it's all i've got and i want to prove that i can do stuff with it and i think i've largely succeeded, but even i'll admit some things are easier to do in after effects.

yeah software doesn't matter, but what i'm saying is. if it's taken to its logical conclusion. the output's a video file, right? it's just a bunch of data, just figure out the data and just write it out. yeah right. NO ONE sane would ever do that. it would be impressive, yes, but why bother?
i suppose it's the same thing with me and blender. with enough work, i WOULD be able to pull off certain effects in it, but to everyone else it's just easier to stick with the good old adobe, they've got plugins, workflows, an ecosystem. that's kind of tough to beat.
by the way if you're a nerd and you don't want to type the whole thing out:

paste this into a hex editor, save it as "anything.h264". either play it using mpv or ffplay, or convert it to an mp4 using ffmpeg. i would have used an mp4 instead but the headers make the whole thing too big to fit in a single slide.
